Kinda surprised myself with this one. Pleasantly surprised. Was focusing so hard on the actual flower that I wasn't paying much attention to the background. What could be a better combination than the love of flora and a digital camera with 14x optical zoom? Sure is keeping me contentedly occupied. As is this wonderful site that I've newly stumbled upon. I've found so much information here my head's spinning! Thanks so much for the kudos. Stella

I looked at the link, I noticed it looks like all the room is filled up, with photos, can more be added now, or is this entry complete now? I think the more different photos the better, because catalogues are not realistic looks.

Bug_Girl, I too have noticed this statement that they are no longer accepting posts, but that was days ago and all of your wonderful pics have made it and so have several others. So I have just ignored it and posted away! Seems to be working. This site is a new discovery for me and I've learned so much, it's great! Unlike most of the country we here in So Cal are just beginning our winter plantings. For instance, January is the best time of year for my pansies. And shortly thereafter the freesia start blooming all over the place. Sure hope I can continue to learn from all these knowledgeable folk. You're right that these photos of our personal plants are so much better than the catalogues. The picture is of the palm tree next to my deck blooming last week. Stella

Hmmmm, the photo didn't post here. But others have started new threads. Maybe you're right. I don't quite understand how this all works, but maybe we can't attach photos to an already existing post. Is that it? Whatever. If you have a burning desire to see the palm tree bloom, let me know and I'll send it via email. Stella

Hi, sure email me any time.

What I was wondering if the plant gets closed to new photos if too many are posted. I don't think we can post photo follow ups on the photo threads. But, what if I upload a bunch of Peace Rose photos, and later someone else comes along and wants to add more, if I have taken all the room up, then does that mean, they can't post?

I guess there should be a limit to the number of photos one can add to any given entry. I want know how many photos can go on each entry?

Well I posted a photo follow-up on a photo thread. I was commenting on the ability of vines to take over here in So Cal and added a shot of the morney glory that has covered our whole roof! That was within the Thunbergia post yesterday or the day before. Just below this box I'm typing in is a "choose image" box that I put it in. But then I tried the same with the palm bloom and it didn't work. Your question, however, is a good one. I haven't had time to search through the site enough (it's huge!) to know all the ins and out, and I need to do that so that I use it effectively. I'd hate to think that we could fill up a particular category so that the "shot of century" would be missed. Let me know if you find out. And I'll send you my palm bloom (it wasn't the bloom itself that was so outstanding, but the combination of colors it created on my deck). Stella

Well, stupid me, I couldn't figure out how to email you, so I just tried the image box again. According to the preview, it worked fine. S
