This is a cutting that the top kept turning yellow and softening.....so I kept cutting the rotting top off. Finally there was nothing left to cut off. But being forever hopeful, I usually leave the dead cutting for at least 2 weeks after it has died.........for you never know!! And look........I ventured out today and found this lone itty bitty leaf rising from the dead!
Back from the dead!
way to go ms kell. and i can't believe you have a 7 foot P&C! that is amazing.
Hi Arlene................ if you think it has better genes then the P & C that seems to have given it a bad name elsewhere.......... I sure have a nice big cutting with you name on it!
That is great Kell. I have a couple I am hoping will do the same thing.
Lucky you. LOL.
What IS that one that you wanted so desperately!! Green thumb! Way to go....
Kell . . that sure is an itty bitty piece. I believe sometimes if we would just leave them alone as you did that they sometimes do better. This is something that I have not learned very well yet and I know that I have lost some due to too much attention. When the soil is completely dry I think it needs water . . . when in fact, sometimes they don't. This one must have been important and I am so glad that it is going to make it.
Yes, what is it and does it live in the 3 days of frost a year greenhouse?
Kell, is this one still alive? What is the cutting from? It must be a tough little fella.
Is it one of those PRIZE Frosty's?
Usually, I water mine too much. I just won't learn, after all Glory's hard work trying to teach me!
LOL CC....no a fancy pink for a change........ an EP!
It is very true, do not water cuttings!!!! I put in wet soil and do not water again for ages!! I may lightly mist the leaves but do not wet the soil.
Yes Brugie, still alive!
Roz, I know exactly what you are talking about. I get so worried that maybe they are too dry but I am getting better at neglect!
Kell, I've had trouble getting EP to root for me this year. Hopefully I'll have at least one that will make it. I have more trouble with watering seeds Frannie. The top looks dry so I usually mist, but sometimes I think I might mist a little too heavy. I've had a couple of containers of seeds that haven't shot up one little seedling yet. I did find that when I started peeling the seeds, way over half of them were empty. What a disappointment.
