Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Lisa, thinking "boat" at you. You know, the man selling it will feel so happy to sell it to someone who will love and care for that boat as much as he did. I sure hope you get it.

Fishing means "home" to me too, but not lazy floats down the swamp-land. Fishing to me means cold ocean waves, my Daddy and Uncles in waders, and my brother and I chasing sea gulls. Baiting the hooks with smelly fish for Dad because he said that I did it better than anyone (years later, I found out he told my brother and sister the same thing!) and eating fresh stripe bass steamed in foil over a bon fire on a windy San Francisco beach. Jackets and mittens - and taking them off to build sandcastles - much to Mom's consternation. My grandma sitting on a folding patio chair, grey hair hidden under a scarf. Fresh salmon sushi and sashimi when the season was right. So sad it's so poluted now that I wouldn't eat a thing from our former haunts. Still, such sweet memories. Thanks, Lisa, for reminding me of them again. Richness of life has nothing to do with money.

Blessings, all.
