Have Rooted Tropical Hibiscus Seedlings (8)

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

I have rooted tropical Hibiscus that I grew from seed. Eight of them are ready for trading. Don't know the flower color! It will be a surprise :~)

I'm looking for PINK tropical Hibiscus, Brugmansia, Cannas, and/or other tropical looking plants. Please make me an offer.

Sorry, no S.A.S.E. at this time.

Shirley,
Do you remember what the seedlings looked like when they first came up? I have something coming up from seeds and hoping it is the T. Hibiscus that I planted.

Hhhmmm, I remember that they germinate fairly quickly. The leaf is medium green color, with a bit of a rough surface. As the leaf grows, it reminds me of a Maple(?)leaf. Does that help?

This seedlings is straight...no sign of a leaf...the seedling is only one day old.

It sounds like your 1st "newborn" seedling! CONGRATULATIONS!! You know what they say about new mothers....they are always worrying about their "babies" :~) NOT TO WORRY!!! They will ALL grow up big & strong!

Shirley,
That is super news...I'm so excited. I just planted these seeds 7 days ago. Thanks so much for your help.

glory, did you do anything special to them? I have some here waiting to plant and don't know what to do.

tiG,
I just planted them in potting soil..I put the seed container in my terrarium and the temp stays at 70º in there.

I have a canna to trade, if you can deal with my not knowing its name.

Aimee,

Please re-contact me in the Springtime when the temps. warm up. It's freezing out there and the plants wouldn't survive the shipping.

Thanks,

Shirley

I have a pink canna and several rooted brugs. What kind are you looking for. I would love the hibiscus. I think I have the name of the canna. I'll check and see. Jim
