One of Kyle's seedlings........

This is a picture of my aunt Martha and her first brug. Kyle and I got all white seedlings and Martha got this nice yellow. This was the Clair Mills X EP cross. I'm guessing it went back to it's grandparent for the color since Clair Mills is a white Jean Pasko. Hope I spelled that name right, if not it would be Clare, I think. Kyle will correct me.

I started the seeds here and my aunt grew it on from about a foot tall. For her first brug, she did pretty darn good and had no mites on it either.

I don't think even I ever worried about a plant as much as she worried about that one. It was kind of funny just listening to her and I did have a million questions to answer. She is 80 and a real go-getter.

That's the way it goes, at least you can get a start back, if you need to. She did an excellent job on growing her first brug.

She did a real good job and has a beauty there. Now if you smile real nice maybe she'll give you a cutting. LOL

The agreement was that if it came out pink, I would get cuttings for Kyle and myself. Hope since it is yellow, she will still give me some. :-) Believe me, she didn't let it get too cold either. Bet she even talks to it.

Ain`t your aunt Martha just a lucky one? :) With that start she probably end up here on DG more Brugcrazy than any of us together. *lol* Nice to meet your aunt! :)

What big flowers she has!! How great she got such a nice one. So did she dig it and bring it in for winter Brugie? I love her the lane she lives on. So homey!

Beautiful! How many do you have to send next time? When I grow up I want to be just like her...

She has already asked for one of another color. She thinks a pink one would be pretty. As for digging it up...........nope, she had it in a pot and her grandson carried it to the basement for her. She has several people who want cuttings from it, so I told her I'd come down and show her how to do it. Will get a couple for me and Kyle at the same time.

Alice, darn it, Aunt Martha's genes came into the family through marriage. Not a chance that I'll ever look like that when I'm her age, if I get there. I've never seen her with a hair out of place. Makes me sick. :-)

Frannie, are you rested up?

Tonny, I don't think we will ever see her get close to a computer. Now that my uncle is gone, I think she would enjoy either a puter or web-tv.

Thanks you all. I read her the posts over the phone today and she got quite a chuckle out of it. Don't we chuckle when we are nicely embarrassed? I've told her for years that she doesn't look her age, so maybe now she will believe me.
