Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

It's a lovely autumn day today - bright, clear and crisp. No chance of frost or snow or what-ever that white stuff is called - but pretty chilly for us over-heated types! Down in the 50*F's at night - dogs sleeping inside now. In fact, woke up to find them burried in the dirty laundry (I had good intentions - I had sorted the colors in to piles last night so I could do them first thing this morning). The two of them together are over 200 lbs, so you can imagine HOW MUCH dirty laundry there was! Now it's got to be reseparated, since Mauly is a nest builder and of course, she had to rearrange everything to make it all comfy. I guess the laundry was softer and warmer than their blankets!

I actually cooked breakfast this morning. Everyone wanted to know what the special occation was. I just smiled wickedly and made them all worry ;-) A woman has to keep them all guessing, right?

Sent off the college apps for DD1. Can't believe she will be 18 in just a few months. Wish she were inclined to go to school in The South - she's a hard worker, and I know she would help DH build me some nice fences when we move (ulterior motives, always!).

Unpacked 2 more boxes yesterday. At this rate, by the time I get unpacked, it'll be time to pack it all up again! LESS THAN TWO YEARS! Can't believe it! We're really gonna go! (And, yes, DH, I'm bringing ALL my books... :-)

Take care, all. Enjoying my blessings and sending warm thoughts out to you.
