Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Well, I don't have a farm, but I have five animals, so does that count? ;) The dogs are enjoying the cooler weather, acting really frisky and goofy when we take them outside. By the time Buddy and Emma get done playing, their long leads are a twirled mess, LOL. Sarah knows just how long the leashes are and dashes out of bounds to tease them, too. All of them, cats included, have become much cuddlier since the cool weather set in, and whoever sits in the wingchair (usually Howie) is soon covered by a puppy blanket and usually has a cat close by, too.

The leaves have been really pretty here despite the weatherman's prediction they'd just dry up and fall off due to the dry summer. Especially gorgeous are the sugar maples and the cherry trees -- oh, and the dogwoods with their red berries! How can it be November 1 already?

I can forgive our wicked barberry its thorns when I see things like this:
