Tracey, this is a beautiful plant. I read where it can get up to 12 ft. tall and very wide. How do you keep it from freezing?

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I brought it in to my storage building, isn't it neat. Maybe I can get you one too! If you want one. I am going to let it grow up a bit. My friend brought it back for me from FL.
Bad spelling~

Really cool plant. Yes, some time when you have enough to cut on, please do start me one. Just don't ruin your plant for your own enjoyment. Thanks.

Also know as Megaskepasma erythrochlamys - that's why it is called Brazilian red cloak. It is also known as Red Justicia, now the Justicia comes in colors of orange, yellow, pink and white. I have all of them. They seem to root pretty easy. Kyle this is not the same one that I sent you called "Red Justicia", but they look really close. The leaves and stems are the same, just the plumes are a little different.

Forgot to say, if you are looking for other colors, you would find them listed under Justicia Carnea

I got a justicia carnea "Radiant" from brugie...it came from Logees..has red undersides to the leaves and a darker plume scape that the pink flower tubes come out of.

I like these for in tropical planters or beds outside...some of the newer ones bloom almost all year if kept warm.

Kell, the Palm Beach thing is an association of lots of greenhouses. I buy from some of them. I found a new tropical liner place today. They don't have EEs and Gingers, but have lots of vines and flowering tropicals. 8-tray minimum

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

did they have Beaumontia grandiflora ............ I am planning on this one this year..........LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Kell, what would you do for a Beaumontia Grandiflora???
Tracey, this one is rooted very good!!! They are doing GREAT!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So Cala, what kind of vines and tropicals do they have??

Kyle, I have the white and the yellow if you want a piece.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Nothing really unusual. They have yellow and pink mandies, several jasmines, ixoria, hibiscus-nothing new, bouganvilla, the standard stuff for nurseries to carry.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Ok David came back with 2 more, but no new colors this time will pick up this weekend....
