Brugs and cooler weather

I do believe my Brugs have finally realized it's no longer 90º here and they have decide to put on a show.

This is a Dr. Suess around the Gazebo.

Here is Jessie Noel...getting taller by the day.

If you are into whites this one is a must.

Are these in pots or do yours stay outside all winter. I am in zone 7 and would like to leave mine out to grow that tall. But I am afraid that I will lose them. Cheryl cjs41

No these are growing directly in the ground but they are cut back to ground level every year....we do get freezing temps here at least once or twice a winter. This growth is one season growth.

The Brug is named Snow Cone....it came from Larry.

I can picture myself whiling away my day in your Gazebo, sipping mint juleps in the sultry summer heat while submerged in the fragrance of Dr. Seuss.

Gloria has the most beautiful yard I have seen in awhile. When I first met her I told her a photo of her yard should be in Southern Gardening Magazine.

Thanks all but everything is starting to get ratty looking. I have a friend coming over on the first and hopefully he'll take away some of these over grown Brugs.

Anyone interested in Brug cuttings after Nov 1st please come by and help yourself. I'm 60-70 miles east of New Orleans, 60-70 miles west of Mobile Al and about 1 1/2 hours from Pensacola FL.

Ron is doing great from the last surgery. I think they will repair his aneurysm before the end of this year.

OK Glory, Finally showed DH a plant that he got really excited about.(very unlike him because he is the sweet man that does all the digging for me)Gotta know how to get one and will they take a hot Texas summer Zone 8. We grew up in Dallas Ft Worth area and niether one of us have ever seen one around here.We now live 40 miles west of DFW.By the way your place is beatiful!

Gloria's garden is beautiful. I was fortunate enough to be there less than a month ago and it is hard deciding which seating area to sit in and which beautiful view you want to look at. On top of that . . she and Ron are the greatest!!

Gloria, u got a very lovely scenic garden, plus all the lovely plants u grow. reminds me so much of the tropical gardens in the Phils.

Well I think I have some takers for all these extra Brugs that will be lying around here....we are supposed to get into the low 40's Sunday morning...quite cool for this neck of the woods.

Well things are really looking sad around here today. We have had rain for the last week and lots of wind this morning so brugs are leaning all over. Most of the Brugs have dropped their flowers due to the wind. I'm glad most of this can get cleaned up next week after I get rid of most of the cuttings.
