Poppysue, It's a very fast grower and should bloom for you next year. Mine was just a small cutting a couple of months ago and already has buds at about 1 1/2 ft high. Maya took the place of P&C which was a very slow grower and took a trip over the bank.
Alice, i can't remember what pollen you used on maya. i have a pod i will pick tomorrow or the next day. yippee!!!

I used Creamsickle, Butterfly, and Isabella pollen. I am really excited about these pods. LOL

Some blooms are starting to turn light peach today.

Alice, those sound wonderful! i used E9, which by the way is a white you would probably like. i have lots of illegitimate podss also.
btw, my pods are taking about exactly 3 months here to ripen, i had baby pods when you posted your pic, you should have them ripening soon also.
Very pretty - I did think that Maya was sort of peach - am I wrong, this one seems almost white. Has it just changed colors like so many others this year??
Azalea, the blooms probably haven't changed colors yet, that's how mine do it, takes a day or so to change.
I wasn't really interested in a white until now. Because I have a cool climate all summer, this may be an answer for me. But how come yours didn't wilt and start dropping leaves and buds as soon as you potted it and brought it in? Mine did and I was told that was normal...

I start mine into a cool greenhouse first. Nites I add some low heat but turn off in days so pretty much like days outside.
It think is not so sudden change to make leaves drop. I have had decent success bringing in this way.

Azalea, flowers are changing to peach now. Unlike summer colour, last winter here they changed all the way to a rich orange gold. Very lovely. I am hoping they do again.
