Wow - brug virgin astounded!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

How did I not know about these before?

crestedchick just brought me a brug that's five feet tall, drooping like the dickens, but from previous posts, this is to be expected and it will recover. It's great! It had some large blooms that are starting to fall off, but I think that's to be expected. It now has a place of honor in the sun room.

Have another couple of hard cuttings - one I am going to put in the dirt with the big one and the other I am going to put in water (as I have seen in other posts). We'll see which one does best!!!

I'm going to go over and mist it and talk to it after this post. *grin*

Please welcome your newest addict! It's going to be interesting to see how this turns out - what do I do...does it get pruned, cursed, coaxed, ignored, watered??? Maybe all of them? What's this about whacking it down - do I really want to do that? Best or worst part of it - I leave for two weeks on a business trip on Friday - will I come back to a perky brug or a dying one? Doug better take as good care of this as he does the dog.

The suspense is killing me.

Cheers!

arlene: Was a treat meeting her - we didn't get a chance to talk long as I was headed to work and she'd already had a long day of driving, but it was nice to meet my first DG contact!!
