Kell, I don't know if they are all that big but they are large. Here is one of mine. Mine are not quite that orange either, but they are beautiful and smell wonderful.

Kell, that flower is big! You can get closer to the flower with camera that what I have.. Those pictures I took, without flash. It is natural color. I dont wnnt to use flash cause it will bring bright the color.. I will post more pix with meaurement to see how big flower is..

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

camera kell. that's the great thing about the new ones, you can get such great close ups. The flash during the day makes a dark background, really cool. Here's my version of Becca Lynn (mine doesn't take great day shots) but BL is a favorite!!

TiG.. that's pretty! great shot!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

The whole plant! I really need to plant those in ground soon as the rain stop! It keep raining for four days! Tired of it.. I want to plant most in ground before first frost come.. Few will be in pots and bring inside.. for the winter so I can enjoy it. lol

The measurement...

Kell, Mine stayed a beautiful yellow all summer and was a large flower. I think climate makes a difference on the color variations.

Yes the climate makes it difference.. here it is cool. That bloom is 4 days old..

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mini, neither of mine ever got that deep a yellow. it's beautiful

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

well that is one of the best flowers I have seen and it is not even pink!!!

So Mini, wha tdid you mean by htis
"You can get closer to the flower with camera that what I have.. "

Did you mean your camera is grea ton close ups or you can get a camera tha ttakes better close ups? I want one that does great closeups!
thanks

and Mini.......... that is a great Y you have there!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

make sure you get that feature kell, I bought my camera just before all the new ones with great features and great prices came out. maybe I can make enough on my spring plant sale to buy a new one!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

your pics are great though tiG. it really takes nice ones.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

not like the new ones. just check them all out. and make sure you can get good closeups. ask cala what hers is too so you compare a couple of them

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Kell, yes you can get it closer by use your camera.. I only stand 5 feet away from flower and use camera to make it closer and click!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

zoom,zoom,zoom......

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Cc, mine zooms but then it blurs the picture. I want one that will take an inch of the flower and makes it the whole picture, clear as a bell.

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9a)

kell, Sony F707 will give you great macro shots but no matter what the camera, I think you will have to use a tripod to get the crystal clarity you are looking for. That is what Mike learned after he bought the camera. He takes a ton of nature shots and to get the dept of focus where the entire subject you are trying to capture is all in focus takes a bit of practice, no matter what camera you are using. Me, I don't even begin to have a steady enough hand to take those kinds of shots. Even with the tripod, Mike had to buy me a remote release because I was blurring every shot when I hit the shutter release.

Mini, what a bright yellow. I live in Sarasota and I can't wait to what my brugs will do with our heat.
