Confederate Rose

Well it finally bloomed. A beauty for sure. I think this is the solid pink. The girl that gave it to me said it was white and would turn light pink and purple after opening. She was wrong. I have another one from her and two more that I bought. Can't wait to see the other three.

RR Strange as it may sound it isn't a rose. It is a hibiscus. Seems hey would have named it Confederate Hibiscus. Glad to see you posting again. Hope things are getting back to normal.

That ok no problem at all but still look like rose. =)

Thank you anyway!

I have these and they are beautiful. The botanical name is Hibiscus Mutabilis. They are called Confederate Rose because of the color change in the white ones that turn to dark pink/red..... this signifies the young and pure confederate soldiers going to war supposedly and the bloodshed that followed. Anyway, they are nice plants. I have one that opens white and one that opens pink, they are both double blooms and really pretty. That is a nice picture of yours!
