do the calyx always split? mine did way before the flower opened. I love it though, bugs got to the first bloom, but the second is real pretty.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This one is beautiful. Sure is prettier than the Dbl. Stuffed one.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I agree Terry, much prettier than the stuffed one.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Way to go....make your own.... any color brug!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Love it! Beautiful! It would be nice to have double pink!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

That is much prettier than my stuffed double candida.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

CC, I think another shade of pink would look better, maybe just a dark edge, lol. If we order them, will you genetically engineer them for us?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

CC is that one for me???

I love this one. I hope I have it. I think I may. I know I ordered this one from Valley Grow and it died. Is this one different than Species? That one I ordered from Logees and it was really adouble stuffed.

Which by the way I LOVE!!! Yes, I love the double stuffed!! You all are not very loyal!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Kell, it's different from Species and not at all like double stuffed.(I must admit that I like double stuffed too)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Good Cala, you and me and double stuffed against the world!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I think the stuffed double is one of the prettiest flowers there is the first two days. then it's horrid:)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

then tiG, you go SNAP!!!! Gee 2 days is short......... mine last longer. I think!! they are so prolific. Maybe they don't. I will have to watch! One of my double stuff puts out all sorts of blooms. I just love it. Always a surprise.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

But Kell, you have to remember that tiG's temps get to be around a hundred degrees in the shade and you have very few of those hot days. Lucky, you are too. Those days are hard on the brug blooms.

tiG, the double stuffed does the same for me, but it won't any longer. It is a gonner. I've had Species before, and just recently got another small plant, and it never did that browning thing for me. Blooms lasted very well and I had it in full sun. Now, I just have to keep the mites from killing it over the winter.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Knightii isn't as bad to brown either. Now, for a double, it's gonna be hard to beat Creamsickle, that bloom is at least a week old(maybe more) and still going. It's got one more open now and another starting to open.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

but the shape of CDW is soooooooo pretty!!!! I'd take that shape in a single if I could get it. kell, they do last a bit longer now that it's cool.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

so are these white doubles the parents of the colored doubles and the pink double???

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

OK, now we need Monika or Eric. I've pollinated every bloom that I can beat the bees to. We shall see if anything is double with color next year.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Did she say Ecuador Pink would be a good pollen doner to try for a pink double?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

lets HOPE!!!!
