I bought a pitcher plant this past summer and it has grown so much. Does any one know if you can cut them back? Or does anyone know anything about them? Vik
I need tips
you lucky person,I probably can't grow one let alone divide it!.....
i have not grown any. hope this link can help ... http://www.pitcherplant.com/care_sheets/nepenthes_care.html
I have grown several different varieties of pitcher plants with mixed success. Cutting them back is no problem. Cut as you would any other plant. Getting your cuttings to root is another story. I got only about 50% to survive the summer from cuttings taken in March. I also know there is a carniverous plant ring of websites. Here it is:

Just scroll to the bottom to switch to a different carnivore site!
Thanks everyone for all the info. I have cut mine back and will try to root the cuttings...cross your fingers!
