Hi folks, I came across these in the local city park when the city workers were tearing them out. One caveat - I am not absolutely POSITIVE, they are the Australia ones, but they're about 6-8 feet tall, almost black leaves, red flowers.
I am quite new to trading (ok, confession time, this is my first trade) - so, I'm probably thinking this could be done in lots of three, so I guess I have four lots of three cannas. I also have two lots of three of a lovely peach one - I just don't know exactly what kind it is. At least one in each Australia trade won't be a single rhisome, but a huge "plant base" with at least three rhisomes.
And if these do well, I'll definitely have many more next year to share and trade. Especially if I pretend to be a city worker again and pull my own! *big grin*
Pardancanda and lupine, are you already in?
Not looking for anything in particular, but I do love hostas and other easy things to grow. I'm in upstate NY, so hardy perennials would be great or something interesting that you just loved this year.
