Terry, this is a great picture. Really shows Butterflies color. I was just in the basement checking my plants and would you believe that the mites are starting already? I've got to get down there this afternoon and start spraying.

Geez, "Butterflies"? How about Butterfly's instead? That might even be wrong. Can't say that English was my favorite subject in school and it has been so long I've forgotten anything I was taught anyway. :-)

Very very pretty. I had 20+ buds on S.Variegata but so far they have all fallen off along with most of the leaves. It was looking sooo pretty. Maybe next year.

Snow, looking great. Isn't it nice to be able to watch them bloom in the GH.

Oh! how I wish I could see Butterfly bloom in person. I think it is beautiful.

Hey Frannie, we could take a road trip to New Hampshire!! Bet Terry would let us see it in person.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

very nice snow, i am so glad you have your greenhouse!

I'm very happy to have the GH open for the whole winter. Don't know what I would have done with all the big ones except to take cuttings and start over. Now if I can just keep it heated without going broke. LOL.
Hey Shirley, come on up. Bring mittens though as the mountain tops are white. Snowed a little here today but didn't amount to anything. I think mites are going to be a problem this year. The GH is mite free so far but a few cuttings I had in the house had mites. I drowned them in a sink of warm water for 1/2 hour and they seem ok now.I have no idea how they get in the house as I didn't bring any plants in from outside. Are they airborne??????

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Hey Shirley . . grab your coat, hat and mittens. It would be nice to not only see the Butterfly, but also snow which I have not seen in 20 years. And Terry it would be very nice to get to meet you.

Wow, that butterfly is pretty. I have the variegated one but just don't care for the shape of the flowers on it much for some reason. I wish you could get that butterfly flower on variegated foliage!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

gnomey that would be an incrediblebly beautiful flower and plant if we could.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

someone will do it,I have faith!

Thats why I think they'd look great grafted to each other!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I like the white flower with the variegated foliage. They just seem to go together. Of course the Butterfly blooms are gorgeous with it too.
