Covering the Jungle House

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

WEll, I get double layer polly this year. We recovered the big fern house with new double layer poly so I get the "under layer" from the fern house. My Jungle house is smaller than the fern house so one layer will make 2 on it. Here is what it looked like before I started chopping things back. There were brugs hanging out the front, but Steve and Bill cut them off when I wasn't looking!!

Sure hope you didn't have to chop too much! It will be nice to have a double layer on the Jungle House. I don't see Wally anywhere.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Really LOL here - it sure looks like you're bursting at the seams.

Mason, MI

Wow, that's mighty full! ;-)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Liz, you won't believe what's in there!! I cut passiforas(made me mad when I accidentally cut the seed pod off a sanguiolenta)thunbergias and brugs and have piles of stuff!! I had to chop on the allamandas and other stuff too, one hibiscus got caught in the plastic, I think it will be okay. I've stilll got 20something brugs to go inside there!!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I find it hard to believe that you have room to get in there and prune. You must be a skinny little thing.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh, now I'm laughing. I do leave an aisle down the middle. I'll have to do an inventory someday to see just how much is in there.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Wowzer!! And I thought mine was full. LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Me too,I can't beleive how many you have in there,do you know how many and what they are?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

CC, I'll try to do an inventory today. I know there are orchids, brugs, hibiscus, passifloras, thunbergia, a bucket for my blue waterlily, taros and other stuff that I can't remember right now.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL LOL LOL Cala.............. now I know why you are wild and mysterious in your jungle house........ because people can hear you but never can find you!!! ALl you need is a buzz saw to make a sweep every few weeks up and over the outside. LOL LOL LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Kell, when I get in there and start trimming, all you hear for a while is "chop-chop".

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Cala - what's that plant there in the middle? The one with the green leaves? ;o)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

ROTF LMAO!!!!!!!giggle...
yeah ,what is that one.....

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Poopysue, as opposed to the one without green leaves????
LOL

So tell me how do you water these? how do you see these to water them???

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Well let me tell ya she has a system to water them. Nobody can do it like her. lol I did get to pull the hose for her to help out. lol

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Poppysue, that green one there in the center is a brug, or hibiscus or ee or orchid. LOL Peggy, I need help with the hose, can you come help? I left a path down the middle and one side, but have to stoop down a bit because I hung baskets over the path. I have to remember to water them as I'm backing out or I get a shower.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

WOW so many of them, you must be very hard work to take care of this and look so healthy. Be careful don't let this happen to you last year. LOL

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Looks like a great place to be :) And my DH thought I had a "jungle house" LOL. (thats what he calls my new GH, Jo's Jungle, hehehe)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Jody, I like that name, lol. Has a nice ring to it. Wonder how many others have "Jungles"

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

I'm working on a jungle.......soooooooo where'd they hide the cuttings???

"eyes"

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

They took them around back and hid them. I started to rescue them but it was only Isabella and Sunray. I've got plenty of those. The thing that made me a little mad was that my mandevilla had seed pods and they cut it down too.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh no Cala, I missed it. What happened? When you were out at Miss tiGgums your honey was attacking the jungle house? I bet he is in the dog house!!!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

LOL Kell - the dog house is probably full of Cala's treasures too.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Not any more Liz............... LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I was late to work OK, I admit I'm not a morning person. When I drove up, they looked so guilty!! The brugs were sticking out thru the wall of the gh, they chopped them off and the worst thing is, they didn't label the branches as they chopped on them!!
How did you know my dog has to sleep on the ground, poor thing hasn't been able to get in the dog house for months because of the boxes I store in there.(actually Wally is spoiled and sleeps on my feet)

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

WOW what a full Jungle house!!!! I would love to have like this one day.. but I don't doubt .. no greenhouse here!
