What is this???

Actually, I know what it is...........what I want to know from you all-wise and all-knowing brug people is HOW this could have happened??? Last year for Mother's day I gave my mom a cutting from one of my peach brugs. It had peach colored blooms later last summer. She didn't want to mess around with wintering over the whole plant so she took a cutting off of that plant that I gave her and this is what it is. Now, how the sam hill could a cutting off a peach brug transmogrify into a double yellow datura???? This is driving me crazy..........She had no other plants even remotely resembling a datura in her possession. Any thoughts on this would help ease my tormented mind!

hmm.. I'd say the cutting died and someone dropped a seed.

gnomey, my mom had it in her basement, and nothing like that around her place at all. She would have told me if the cutting died. 'Tis a puzzlement.........

It is really pretty, whatever it turns out to be. Sure beats me. How do you explain these things?

It's not possible for a Brug to turn into a Datura. There had to be a seed mixed in with the soil or maybe someone snuck one in the pot.

If the cutting never died and her mom would have noticed, then those explanations don't fly.........hmmm, did you have any datura's like that at home and maybe got your cuttings mixed up?

Nope, woodspirit1, never had any some of those! :>) Maybe we have to work on the thought of "God works in mysterious ways". Maybe I'll have to quiz Mummy a bit more, but she has never had datura either, I know that for a fact. We'll see.
