I wonder if anyone managed to set a pod to Culebra this year??

Haven't heard of the ketchup song here. I don't have a picture of the shredded JY. I can't remember who it was that grew that. If you need a pic of just JY I have a few.

The shredded JY was Gloria's but it didn't shred for me. Might have been something to do with hot weather.

tell us how it goes!!

I have photos of Quinde and culebra. Both without flowers though. If the weather holds I will have culebra flowers within 14 days from now. Culebra has a funny way of blooming (as far as I see from the bud building). The buds sit very close in large clusters and it seem to bloom in flushes. Mine threw all buds during summer, but now it finally shaped up a bit. It probably just needed cold nights and about equal lenght of night and day. :)

Hmmm I have never seen shredded JY. Is Culebra another hard one to set blooms in the heat? It was going to be on my list of wants for spring. Can anyone tell me the ones that don't like the heat and humidity of the south and save me from throwing away my money on buying them as with the HG ??? I know the Sanguinea although I may try one any way inside. I bought seeds so it will be no big loss.

Yeah..The Ketchup song by a band called "Las Ketchup" is really popular here at the moment..Its either a spanish or potuguise song with a dance routine....similar to the Macarena a few years back! I'm sure everyone just back from their mediteranean holidays are sick of it by now...but it is very catchy! It's kinda hard to say how it goes Tig...the first line of the chorus is: I said a hey ha hey????

Donna, as far as i know, Culebra's petals don't fully develop in cooler weather but the flower still opens! As someone metioned here before...the petals look like golf clubs LOL. But they are worth growing for the foliage alone!
