for sure what the parentage is on this one. Looks like Whiskers/butterfly/Pink Beauty !!! I know that Eric was working with Whiskers and Butterfly, I don't think he had PB, but the way the tendrils lay back remind me of that one.
It's gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see more flushes, especially this next spring. alas, another to dig and bring in rather than let it die back, it's a perfect alley tree being grown from seed.
I won't 'release' it yet, until I see if it holds true, but I'm thinking of naming it Georgia Peach.
so wish I knew
it has great tendrils, that could be from butterfly. he did also have rosabelle, made some seeds with those last year. i know he harvested some bf X rosabelle or vice versa in december. lots of possibilities with aurea in them.
tiG, You sure are getting some beauties.
I just love it when the skirts do this. my favorite look!
Just how many acres;.......,or should I say counties do you own, to grow all those beauties, tig? tee hee
lol, CoCo, we have 5 acres, but only the front 3/4 to 1 are what we use. The rest are thick woods. Next year I'm going to plant the seeds like corn, I have them too far spread out and I could have started so many more if I'd done it this way. This one was in a 1 gallon pot until the end of June. Glad I planted it in the ground!!!
putting name on it, forgive me!!!!
I could be wrong - but I think he had Rosabelle last year.
I think he did too. But whatever he put together in this one worked!!
he definitely had rosabelle seeds harvest last december. don't know how many or croses except for the one noted above.
love the flower,love the name!
tiG . . so many pretty ones. What an exciting summer this has been for you.
