i have one of these plants and it has runners, not pups like the other crypts i have.....the momma plant looks as if she is dying.....my question is, are these runners the pups or do the pups form on the runners...i cant seem to get any reply from the lady i purchased it from.....i really wanna be able to at least get one pup from this plant...i sure hope there are some bromeliad growers out there who can help me fast...thanks in advance for any and all help

I don't have this particular one so no hands on experience but from what I understand the pups will form at the end of the runners/stolons. The runners/stolons will/can get to about 2'-3' in length.
well then i guess my plant is a gonner....the runners are at best 6 inches long, they look ok, but the momma is fairly small compared to the other crypts i have...i dont know if this one will make it long enuff to get pups on the runners......i guess i have learned my lesson again and wont get anymore from this particular person....thanks for the advice
