please change the tag to Melon Kisses. not DxS R or L, just the M. am I the only one that still has it??
if you have DxS M
here are Eric's notes on this cross. It's Dr. Seuss x Solid Gold.
"DxS M bloomed the earliest, the most, but it is creamy orange to almost white in warmer months and dark orange in colder months. "
((arlene, this would explain why you had a lighter one))
"DxS M was the first to bloom and has the most variation in her color shades she goes through. .....My DxS M is very light cream some months and others it has a nice dark orange yellow. Shades anywhere inbetween are to be expected as well with that hybrid. Shape is nice, tendril length great-seed production above average. "
"DxS M has the best form, but the color ranges from a light creame to an orange depending on the time of year."
"My DxS M continues to change shades depending on the time of year it is sometimes cream white and other times a nice orange. The long tendrils and shape of the flower stay the same though or if it changes its not enough for me to notice without taking a ruler to it."
I know Jeanne and CC had it, do you still ?
Wish someone would name the DXS-L one.
Me too! :) tiGgems!......
all of you that have the DxS L pictures should post them in one thread, ask for suggestions and among those that have it and have seen it bloom, y'all should pick the name. I don't know what happened to mine, I had to get it again:(
tig, he never actually said that was what it was. was a stick i picked up at his house under rosabelle. you took a cutting of it, had a bud on it i believe, very twisted tendrils some blooms opened with tendrils entwined. it had a lot of blooms this week. will see what it does later but wouldn't figure that is what it is unless someone id's it in person or the cutting you took from mine matches yours.
eric sent a lot of crosses to other people that i didn't get, have gotten kyle's pink and amber rose both from you i think. other than that, the ones i have of his crosses are seedlings that i got from him last summer.
okay:) the flower at your house doesn't look anything like this one. This one does bloom light early in the season, but it was pretty far into it when I got to your house. What you got from him could still be twisted sister!! did he ever say whether he'd had it or not??
not that i know tig. i have no idea what it is. all i know is it was lying under a rosabelle and i was hoping that is what it would be.
