The worlds smallest

This Solid Gold is dragging the ground. I guess I'LL have to dig a trench for the blooms.

Wow, that's a tiny one. Did you just plant it, or did it forget to grow?

Cala it was one that you sent me. I did the same to it as all the others and it just never got big. I read a thread last week that someone posted that sometimes if a cutting is gotten above the y the plant might be small. I believe all you sent me was already rooted and they weren't just cuttings. This is really small. At least I'll get to see what the bloom looks like. Almost has more buds than leaves. A great conversation piece.

GRC, hopefully it will put out a sprout from the roots and it will get taller. I have learned a lot this year about taking cuttings.

u're plant is no different than the EP pink i grew. the flower is bigger than the plant LOL. the EP was a little over 12", while the bloom is almost 16" long!

Thanks Cala :)!

Sorry GRC, but this strikes me as so funny. I can't quit laughing. and thinking of you digging a trench around it.--- It is so short and has the big buds, and one of the three brugs I have, was 10 foot tall before it bloomed. Please take another picture when the blooms open.

The trench will be deeper that wide. LOL
Liz I think it is going to start growing and next year be a real beauty. I'll post it as soon as it blooms. I thought about taking it up and putting it in a pot so it could hang down but I'm afraid I might stunt it's growth. LOL

Or you could do like Tonny does - he makes little bloom crutches to lift them up. LOL

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Bloom crutches that cute. LOLOL!!!!

Jim, I have an EP that's the same way. If it hadn't been in a pot where I could lift it up, the blooms would have not only dragged the ground, but would have bent in half. I think it has to be that they are above the Y cuttings. Great plants for plant stands though.

Yeah tiG I wonder what it will be like next year. I think I will pot it up and see how it does next year.

GRC, I truly wasn't making fun of your brug. I would love to have one that would bloom while that short.

That reminds me of this one that I also got from Calalily. I don't know the name. The bloom turns pink once it opens.
