Two days of rain- you'd think they would be happy *venting*

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

YEEK! Went out to get some photos of one of my hybrid brugmansia and it had dropped ALL the open flowers plus buds! Go figure. Two days of rain and I thought they'd be SO happy. *me screaming-AHHH*

Temps. going down to 39 here. My one hybrid that I've been waiting on for TWO years to bloom won't make it this season.

Tell me again why we grow them *grin*
Thanks for listening to me vent.

I have buds and pods falling. It was so windy and blew the plants over. It was raining and I thought they were wet enough, but no, they got too dry and now they are pouting.

(Zone 6a)

I know exactly how you feel. Mine are all just loaded with blossom buds, but need another week to open up.....supposed to freeze tomorrow night! I give up:)

Owen, get out those blankets fast!!! Yours are too pretty right now to let them get frosted on, you've still got Indian Summer to go thru.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I have begun to wonder WHY I grow these things, also!! They are full of buds, some blooms I have never seen, now 20's tomorrow night. Augghhh....

if you get a light frost and are able to get up before sunrise you can spray it with water and that will help keep it from freezing

I feel for you all working so had to take care of them and then lose them just as they start producing.
