Hi folks - I've been struggling lately with focus and motivation - have always found that dieting (or more important eating right) is easier, once you set your mind to it. Amazing how the mental can be a bigger struggle than the physical. So much of it is about attitude. I'd like to join in these daily conversations to get some reinforcement or motivation and maybe offer the same along the way.

Some of my tactics to get me on the path of getting started consist of:

psyllium mixed with juice and water (promotes a sense of fullness) and helps cleanse the body - this isn't like using laxatives which mess with the body's normal functions - it's more like eating a lot of nothing.
Extra liquids like water and unsweetened tea

To be honest, it took me a couple of prcrastination to even dare get on the scale - I have one of those that has the slider bar and even if you stand on one foot, put your tongue out and wave your right hand - it gives the same results. Has anyone else ever looked like an absolute fool on the scale trying to pretend that it's a different number?
