Our landscape

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

To think there was nothing here last year is hard to believe. I am so proud the way this turned out. Thanks Cala, tiG, Eric for these cuttings. And to Gloria and Snow's cuttings that are in there but not blooming yet. Still have hope for the peach from Gloria this year.
All the blooms haven't opened as yet so in a couple of days it should really be showing off.
Oh yeah there's a couple of hibiscus in there from Jody.

looking good Jim!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Looks fabulous Jim! It'll be awesome when those brugs are big trees!!!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Thanks tiG. The roads in the background will be where the cars will be slowing down to get a good look. LOL
I had a man at work tell me about two weeks ago that his wife made him turn around and come back by and there was only two blooming then. Bobbie was out last night and she said it was intoxicating just to sit in the yard. I guess I can come home drunk and blame it on the brugs now. LOL

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Poppysue the concrete blocks that are in the picture is where I had the flower bed with all the seeds you sent. They are already done for this year but they were so pretty when they were blooming. Seems like whne they started to fade the brugs kicked in.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

It's nice to always have something blooming - isn't it? It gives you something to look forward too everyday. Hey... I meant to mention to you - Don't give up on your columbines. They bloom the second year from seeds. Next spring they should put on a good show!

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

jim your garden looks great keep up the good work :)

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Thanks Poppy for that info and thanks farmgirl for the compliment. I have the plumeria that you gave me in that general area also. I think I'm going to overwinter them and next spring put one in the ground and put the other in a larger pot. They will be in this bed next year as I intend to keep making it larger.

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Jim, this is a beautiful bed!!! I can't believe all the plants you have blooming at the same time.

You will probably have more traffic on the road now that you have given them something beautiful to look at. You will also need to take cuttings to root, as many of the travelers will want to have some also. lol

Keep us posted on this bed as it grows.

Thanks all for the comments. I don't have weeds but some grass did sneak in. This is the bed that I used the 40 bags of pine bark taht I got for my birthday. Still have Frosty Pink and Equador Pink to bloom. They have skirted and will probable be there in the morning. I was sitting out there today and got to thinking what am I going to do next month when they will all be gone. It has really been enjoyable to see this garden get to this stage and what a pleasure to be able to share with all of you.

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

WOW. I cant wait for mine to look like that next year.. I am going to plant all of mine in ground.. did you put them in ground or just in the pots?

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Jim, your gardens are lovely!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

It is so rewarding to go from nothing to a lovely garden filled with beautiful plants. You have something to be proud of!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Thanks all. Mini I have them all in the ground except for one and I have it in a real large pot. The pot is about 2 feet high. The one in the pot did better than the rest and bloomed a lot earlier than the ones in the ground.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Hummmmm!!!! Maybe it had more attention, or beter soil, etc??

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I think it had more water. The pot had a big saucer under it to hold excess water and I think that did the trick. BTW It wasn't in the picture. I'll post a photo of it Wed. when I'm off again. I can hardly wait until next year
to get started with them again. I'm hoping that they will grow taller next year. Hey I think I'm in love. LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

LOL Jim. They are addicting aren't they.

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

That look's GREAT Jim!!!!

Sound's to me that your garden is truly a garden from DAVE' S GARDEN!!!!!!!
sue

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

yeah snow I can't wait to get the cuttings you sent me in there. I have all them rooted and in pots. I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy a green house. Oh I meant a brug house.Lol
Yeah Sue in the true sense of the word it is a garden from Dave's.

Alfred, ON(Zone 4b)

mamma mia!!!
GRC that is just wonderful!!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Hope they give you lots of blooms. :)

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Thanks zameluzza. mamma mia. LOL

Snow we had rain yesterday all day and I mean heavy rain at times. I felt guilty because I was thinking don't rain and knock the blooms off even though we really need the rain. We had 2 inches yesterday and when I went out today blooms all over the ground but still a lot hanging and looking good. So I guess the rain will help the buds that haven't bloomed.
Another little tid bit. There was a rodeo in a park down the road from us this week end with a lot of traffic and Bobbie and I was sitting out with the brugs and a lady ran off the road. Bobbie saw it and hollered and I looked up to see a lot of dust in the air. She managed to get the car back on the road without and damage. I guess I'll have to put warning sign down the road. WARNING BRUG'S ON PARADE AHEAD. TRAVEL AT OWN RISK.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

roflol!!!!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

tiG as many beautiful brugs as you have if they were in my yard she would have to had cpr performed. She probable would have said let me die under the Angel's and we would have performed the drag manuever. Grab a leg and drag her to the brugs.

Wow tiG, now I need the cpr. That is so pretty.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this is one side of the bed. The front side has that new yellow/peach seedling and had a smaller Butterfly that I've already taken up. just to the left of Butterfly is Jean Pasco and a caterpillar got her first bloom :(

can you tell I'm proud??? lol!! I blame this bed on Kyle, he got me all worked up with pictures of his garden beds.
