Named this one Idamood

(Zone 6a)

It is a Ursiline x that I grew from seed this year, and this is a bloom from start of it's second flush. It has a faint fragrance....and stays open all day.

Short? Look how far down the Calyx(green) goes. Does it get darker? Nice.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

It's pretty.

It stays that color.....just your run of the mill white:) The flower is actually larger than it looks to be in the picture.

The flower is a lovely shape. I love those long tendrils. You don't know what Ursuline was crossed with? I saved quite a few of mine that didn't bloom. I couldn't stand to just let them be frozen. There's a couple that have neat foliage and I'm really hoping the flowers will be nice too.

No....I have no idea what the Ursiline was crossed with.

I have 4 other brug seedlings that have not yet bloomed....2 have blossom buds ready to open soon, and the other 2 I am going to dig up and pot and try to get them to bloom in the house in order to see if it is worth keeping cuttings from them.

Just hoping Mother Frost holds off for another week or ten days....probably just wishful thinking:)

Really lovely.

Monday is to be 28 degrees!!! Our summer, which never really was good, is over.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh no Hibiscus!!! I hope I get one flower from the Ursuline seeds that is this nice.

I love the calyx going down to cover the flower. Its almost like the arboreas and some x candida I have seen. The shape of the flowers is also great and it makes a fine balance.
:)

Thanks for the kind comments.....I am gonna save cuttings and make this one of my white brugs next year:)
