Good morning everyone! Kathy Jo - I am sorry about your son-in-law's mother. It is hard to believe that your grandchild is almost 2 - it doesn't seem that long ago you were making the birth announcement.

It was a short night and need toothpicks in eyes this a.m. Woke up out of a deep sleep to hear a loud rumbling noise. At first I thought somebody was driving past with a combine but thought it sure sounded loud. Dh got out of bed and looked out the window and said you better look at this. Road next to us was lined up with vehicles with flasing lights - looked like at least 5 law enforcement cars and the loud rumbling we heard was the lifeline helicopter. Heard on the news this a.m. that the county sheriff was trying to pull over a pickup with two teenagers which resulted in high speed chase. They lost control of the truck at the top of the hill and rolled the truck. Both driver and passenger (brothers) were ejected from the truck. (So stupid and so senseless).

It is so nice out - temps are supposed to be in 70's today, low 80's tomorrow but then back in upper 40's with rain on Saturday.

Had to do some cross country gravel road driving yesterday (about 15 miles east of here). The corn really looked bad - what was left of stalks that the grasshoppers hadn't eaten was black from fungus. I wonder what they will do with that corn - I would be afraid to let livestock eat it.

Oh guess what we're getting for our anniversary present - a new livestock trailer! (rolling eyes) Actually Julia will own part of it and we will trade in the old one and we are getting a good deal.

Better go - you all have a good day.
