Philomel, wouldn't you know it! You're posting all these wonderful pictures, and I'm slaving away outdoors trying to put all these potted plants under cover for the winter! You are a superb picture taker. I'll have to look everything over in a few days when I can take a breather.

Thanks Weez :)
I should be slaving away, but i keep getting sidetracked. Now i can use my digi camera properly and download stuff straight away it's just tooooo much of a temptation. I'll be working away, look up, and there's a photo waiting to be taken.
Oh well it's FUN. Always a good thing LOL

Yes, I know what you mean, Phil. I take hundreds of pics every summer and fall.. less in the winter and early spring. I think you have a better digital than mine, since the close-ups are so clear. I have to step back a bit and crop them to enlarge.

Mine's a nikon 885. I chose it cos it can focus really close, but it's also small to carry around. I understand it's not available any more - they can't have been making enough money on it cos it wasn't around long.

It seems the moment manufacturers realize they've produced a durable, efficient product, they immediately realize their mistake and discontinue production! Ah, what a good consumer society we are!

Quite so LOL
