Well this is weird. Should I chop it off? It does have a flower about to open on it but the enire shoot is completely albino.
Albino shoot on P&C
Plese don't "chop it off". See what the bloom looks like, may be white?? Have heard no one is able to root the white cutting. Keep trying, someone, someday.....
IS it shure that is it a P&C ? Maya does it have often.
GL
I'm not positive it is a P&C.. actually it was in a nursery labeled as "datura brugmansia" so it could be maya. How can I tell the difference for sure? It looks like every picture of P&C that I've ever seen.
Haha.. you have the albino shoot too! Mine looks like that but also as I said looks like pictures of P&C too so now I am confused as to what mine is. What are the differences? The flowers on mine open a creamy yellow/white color and then turn peach.
Sorry, I canīt help you. I donīt know P&C.
Hi Cala, are you going to try to root your albino shoot?
No, it has no green at all, so can't live without the mother plant.
darn it! that's what I thought. Mine doesn't have a trace of green on it either. I guess I'll just enjoy it until frost then since I'm not planning on digging this plant up this year.
Thats really neat. Why can't it live without the mother plants?? Does it have to be green to do the photosynthisis thing???
Yes, it has to have some green to have photosynthesis(sp?)Right now, it's using the mother plants energy to survive.
