Have some Lentcels!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

This is a weird seedling. It has lenticels that totally cover the stem... right up to the tippy top. Even the stems of the leaves have them. I had to cut it yesterday so I'm not sure the buds will hang on.

Wow Susie, you sure have some pretty lenticels! LOL Looks like it will be easy to root. Brugie sent me some cuttings like that, they looked like salted pretzel rods. :)

Looks like goosebumps.

I had a cutting that looked like that, when I put it in water to root, it filled the bumps clear to top of cutting, thought it was something bad, so sprayed top of cutting with dishwashing liquid, just the bottom now has the white bumps "lenticels".

I have had this before also but can't rember now on which burg it was on just didn't pay that much attention to it

I'm not sure what this cross was. I numbered it as an Eric seedling but that's because the tag was gone. It might have been a different cross. This one hasn't wilted a bit - the bud still looks good too.

Hmmmmm.....I learned a new word. All this time I thought the name was "thoselittlebumps".

It should be lenticels - I spelled it wrong in the title. I think Kyle was the one to teach us that one :) They were "white nubby thingies" to me!
