I'm a new member and this is my first post. Just after joining, I installed Norton Internet Security 2002, and noticed I could no longer view the pictures on Dave's website. I searched through the Computer Talk forum, and never found detailed instructions that described how to re-enable "referers." Here's how to fix the problem.
In NIS go to options and select Internet Security.
Click on the "Advanced Options" button.
Click on the "Privacy" tab.
Under "Browsing Privacy" you'll see "referer".
Click the drop down arrow and click on "permit" (you'll see a green light).
I think this should fix it. As soon as I did this on my machine, I could see all the pictures in the new pages I downloaded.
