Is it too early

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

to have the Brugs go dormant?I need to lay some of the big ones down in the GH and want to strip the leaves before bringing them in and start them going dormant but is now till May too long for them to stay dormant? Also since they are way too tall to stand up will a hole cut in the side of the pot be enough to water them? Any ideas?

I too was wondering about the watering of a plant on it's side.

Couldn't you take them out of the pots and put into small plastic bags and just put a little water on them now and then. I think that is what I would do.

I dont lay the oversized plants on the floor but hang them in a loop in an approx. 45 angle.

Susie, mine are already what you call dormant. We had already frost and will have some more throughout this week.

I'm not sure that I can visualize this Monika. They're probably off the floor because it's too cold? A loop? Like a sling?
