GH addition is

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

finally up. Still have work to do on the inside but for now I can get the last six plants in there and out of the cold.Still have to lay landscape fabric and white marble stones and cut a hole into the house. SIL made a four foot door on the other side so it will be easier to bring the bigger palnts in now. It's very windy here today and tonight and tomorrow night is supposed to be extremely cold so this got finished just in the nick of time.It has added another 15 ft so now it's a 12 x 35 ft GH. Still doesn't look big enough when all the big Brugs are in there. LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Wow!! that really increased your space.

Snow,
Are you going to heat the GH all winter?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

That's huge! You lucky girl. There'll be room for your chair. LOL

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Wow Snow!! You lucky dawg! You're going to heat it all year? What type of heater do you have in it?

Snow, congrats with the GH addition! :) You sure needed this extra overwintering space. I read the posts about your ex-large Brugs and I hope that you can at least are ble to bring some of them through the winter in full size. :)

Terry, I'm turning green here. Would give anything to be able to heat a big greenhouse over the winter. Sure would save me a bunch of work too. All this dragging pots around is getting tiresome. I'm happy for you. This must be a big relief for you to have it so near done.

You Gh looks good. All you need now is the isolation material and you and your brugs will enjoy it, even in the winter, with snow all around.

My two large Ghes will stay empty all winter. 70m to shovel snow to get there is too much, not to speak about the heating costs.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Wow Terry that looks wonderful. Will have to show Scott that for next LOL!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'm certainly going to try to keep it heated all winter. Of course I just heard on the news tonight that gas and heating oil are going to be taking a big jump in price. Will just have to see what it will cost. Can't go without food and utilities to keep it running so my house may become quite full in Jan. or Feb.LOL. Really need some of Monika's isolation plastic but after paying more than we expected(don't ever hire a family member) for the GH to be put up I can't afford it now as I'm sure it would be too expensive for a 12 x 35 GH.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Snow, how long have you been growing brugs? Did you build this GH just for them? It looks just great! If the heating costs too much maybe the insulation would pay for itself in reducing your costs enough. I am hoping my DH will build me a small one this month that is take-a-part-able!! LOL, he has never built anything in 25 years!!! I am no doubt dreaming.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

kell, I started growing Brugs last year. DH built the GH for me I think two yrs ago after I had to get done work due to a back injury. He thought it would be good therapy so I would'nt lose my mind being home all the time. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What a nice, nice DH!!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Lol - Good therapy!! - Lol!! He's probably sorry now - huh Snow?

Would it be cheaper to run a gas cooker. I don't know how effective that would be in a large GH. I don't have one so we put everything in our 12 x 16 shed and run the gas cooker very low and leave the shop lights on. But then again we do not usually get that cold. Just a thought.
