that's really pretty too.

Very pretty blooms Sue. Thanks for the one you sent. I will sure enjoy it next year. Everything is doing very well now. Forecast changed to 32 for tomorrow night. Guess the truck is going to sit outside for one night so the brugs can go in.

Very pretty white. Is the flower very big?

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Poppysue, do you have measurements of flower? How big is it?

(Zone 6a)

Beautiful white one......is it fragrant??

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

The blooms don't seem too large to me. I went out and measured... From the top of the calyx to the edge of the corolla it's about 13 inches. I won't be able to measure the width until it opens back up tonight. I don't know how big it's supposed to be. The nights have been cold so maybe the blooms are smaller than normal. I got this one from Earls and it's possible it's mis-IDed.

Kyle - How big should it be?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Under most conditions the corolla should be at least 9 inches across/ 5 inch calyx/ 14 inches long total length,4-5 toothed calyx opening.leaves are about 13 inches long on mature growth. 1 inch between calyx opening and flare of flower. Not the biggest flower we grow but bigger than most suaveolens at the time of introduction.Heavy bloomer heavy fragrance sometimes almost musky.

Thanks for the stats Kyle. I just dragged DH out with me to carry the flashlight so I could measure. Talk about grumbling! My blooms are measuring smaller. Since it's the first blloms to open and the weather has been cold I won't call it a wrongly IDed yet. I hope it's the real one.
