Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

We have really had the rain here. My calves have made a nice mud bath for me right as I go in the lot to feed them. and of course, they try to knock you down for the feed. so just got back from slipping and sliding around in the mud with my calves. I REALLY gotta get that creep feeder in their lot. Two of the big calves were so wild when we bought them. Now they will let you pat them on their side while they eat. The two real bottle calves are very gentle. Glad I can keep the little heifer.
Waiting again for ewes to lamb. Hope they choose some of the cooler days.
Would love to get some beans planted today. I bought some speckled pole limas. I can't wait to get them in. My garden is looking atrocious. flowers have been pretty, but you would starve here if you were planning on living out of the garden.
May your corn grow tall and your cattle fat.
