These bearded iris are so breathtaking! They don't do well up in our Alaskan climate, as a rule, so I don't see them too often. It's a nice treat to see them here at Dave's!

Please direct my path. I would love to buy this plant.

I don't know right off the top of my head, I don't have this one. You might try a search, and also there are links to commercial growers at www.irises.org.

Woodland Iris Garden (www.iris-garden.com)had it listed in their 2003 catalog.
It IS a beauty!

I got a letter yesterday from Virginia Keyser. I discovered I've known her for 44 years from before she became "Keyser." We met at the American Iris Society Convention in Portland, OR, in 1960 and began an avid correspondence and swaps of irises. We lost track of each other with moves and life changes. She had been on my mind for the last several days, so getting the letter was particularly welcome. She is a lovely, gracious woman.

I was really happy to know that 'Ziggy,' about which I've known but not yet grown, was one of hers and introduced by Bill Maryott before he simplified his life and began growing only daylilies.

Small world!

How interesting! It's so nice to renew gardening acquaintances and get updated on their advances in growing our green friends.
