How long have those been growing? They look big. Will they get much bigger? Sorry, questions.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I think the two top ones are done growing. I'm just waiting for them to get ripe. The SW still has some growing to do. Just hoping all the pods stay on the plants as they are now in the GH where it is much warmer in the daytime.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Snow, can you see any difference in the shape of the pods on BF X whiskers and BF X EP? i can't tell with my old eyes in the pic. i did harvest 2 pink beauty pods this weekend, it took them 2 1/2 months or so... i am so surprised they were that fast. have a couple more pods with peduncles yellowing, gonna leave a little longer for the dry out/mushy test....

shredded white X BF!!! good for you!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I think they're shaped about the same Arlene. The calyx is still on the one in the background so maybe that's why it looks different. Congrats on your PB pods.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Nice crosses snow

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Very nice crosses.

Hamilton, Canada

Snow you did good there with your crosses. Here's hoping you get some wonderful seedlings.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Congrats Snow. Great job!

Wonderful crosses Snow.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Very nice snow - are you going to post these to the PDB?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Thanks all. Yes Liz. I've got a couple posted already and try to post the new pics as I take them.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

snow, I have a large one just like the first one......its Clare Mills (white Jean pasko) X Moonshine...an aurea hybrid white.......still a while till its ripe though..don't rush them. :-)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

No rush Kyle. They are now in the GH where they are safe from frost.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Jean Pasco took the longest time of all to mature a pod.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Snow, you have some nice pods and crosses. Hope that shredded white does something for your DH. :-)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Snow, how long have your pods been there? I wonder if arlens rippen so fast because they're so far south....

I have pods but none ripe yet

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

CC, SG matured in three months. I'd have to look at the tags tomorrow to see when they were pollinated but I think they are about 2 months old. I think it depends on the Brug too. Some just take longer.
Brugie, I think he's getting curious as to what might come out of this cross. After all it's HIS Brug. My paintbrush just happened to slip when I was walking by it with some Butterfly pollen.Funny how it landed right on the stigma. LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

WEll, even if he did latch on to this brug, I hope you get the seeds from it. This will be one that you will really be curious about as it grow to bloom stage. Hope you get something really neat from it. Maybe you will have that one out of a hundred. Sure hope so.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Pollinate in the fall and the pods atke all winter till at least Feb or later.Pollinate in the spring and pods will sometimes be ready by fall. :-)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

WOW what a great idea to show them all together, Snow. So I have a question. Will the pods always be the same from the same mother plant regardless of who the pollen donor was?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'm not sure kell but I think they will. I've got several different crosses on another Brug and the pods all look alike.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

thanks Snow!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Snow, I noticed that on mine, the pods look the same no matter who the daddy is.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

the two pods i picked came off these 2 flowers....dated 7/14...i joked about the hummer moth going from BF to PB, asking if i could label it pb X bf..... 2 1/2 months...i was surprised! could be the heat? don't know.. also see that the flowers aren't recurved much, late in the day.
