Very nice, guys!
I LOVE this plant and finally got 2 or 3 of them this year.
I live in the D/FW area in Texas. I read your comment, Tami, that this plant's foliage will die back after frost but return in the spring.
Has anyone else had this plant come back in this area? I'm in Zone 7b/8a.
Thanks!
~ Carole
I have grown this plant in the Dallas area and is dependable. It will come back. You will just have a shorter season than Texas. Chet
I planted one of these as a seed - my husband pulled it up thinking it was a weed! I'm so bummed.
Oh, no! I know how that feels. My husband usually gets my treaured plants with the weed eater! Now I try to mark all of my plants by putting rocks or other barriers around them. But I have so many seedlings that I am running out of barriers.
I hope you have more seeds.
Mine are not doing that well this year because we have not had rain in so long - about 2 1/2 months! Mine are alive, but they have not grown tall and bloomed like they usually do.
Hi Cajun I live here in DFW area too, my sister in love and I have grown them every year, seems to be an anual for the most part here. However if we have a mild winter and protect it with mulch it could come back. Last year was so mild my parsley plant on the north side of my house came back. I believe I am going to try it this year and see what happens. Stay in touch and I will let ya know, okay? Debnes
I am very interested in getting some seeds for this plant...and would love to talk to someone about this...
