help, I'm stuck on pink

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

This is ek9. I have 3 that are almost identical, one that is a very pale pale pink and one that stands out just a bit from the others out of this cross. I wish someone would come dig up an entire tree! I'm only keeping one (so far)

That sure is pretty.

What's the cross? Which one did you decide to keep. I think they're all pretty.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's Dr D x EP. I'm going to keep ek8, which has darkened up a lot and it's going to inherit the Cotton Candy name (same cross, none released) it's right next to all the others and stands out a bit from the crowd. Remembrance is from another cross, will keep it for sentimental reasons.

I still plan to see you soon - lots to do here tho - started cleaning out the gh, what a mess it is!! Too many interruptions, it will take me several days to get it done right. Today I have 2 blooms on Rosea - first I've seen, also one on JAM Yellow - impressve - will post soon. I remember last year I had company from Roanok on the 24th, they are comonf agin this year, same time! Anyway - we had frost the day before!!

Azalea, cleaning a greenhouse is not fun. Mine is very small and it took two of us, three hours to clean it totally. We washed pots and also put new flooring down, but still took a long time. Wish I had a big one to clean. At least I'd have room for brugs then.

Yes I must have scrubbed out 500 pots and plastic lids to go under them. I soak them I my big Ames wheelbarrow with detergent & Clorox then scrub with a kitchen sponge - I now have dishpan hands. Still a dirty gh! Keeping 2 grandkids this week end too.

well, I did find a white seedling this morning, forgot it was that close to opening. but its an LBJ seedling not one of ours here. it will go into compost unless it changes tomorrow, very mite prone.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

tiG... do you think some brugs are more mite prone than others??? I have some like that but don't know if its the brug or me or my lack of care on some of them

Irish, some brugs are definitely more mite prone than others. I think it has to do with parentage, vigour, etc. The white pearl x big that I grew from seed from Monika are over 5 feet tall, covered in buds and never once got touched by any bugs at all. They seem to be the healthiest brugs I own. I also find that the fuzzier the leaves, the less mite prone they are. Also probably has to do with suitablity of the climate.

Another pretty one, tiG. Has Dr. D suaveolens genes? I don`t remember. Maybe I confused it with Kyles Pink?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

tiG, you sure are stuck on pink, but it looks like a wonderful place to be stuck! LOL I have really enjoyed all all your pink pics!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

tiG looks so pretty in PINK!!!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Another nice one tiG. Keep em coming.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I'm sure enjoying your pinks ~~~~

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

irish I agree with Jeanne, some mites don't seem to bother. all the Cuba x ? seedlings haven't been touched. but even some with same type leaves, one will get them bad, one right next to it won't. Tonny, Dr D is Dr Seuss x EP so this cross is (Dr Seuss x EP) x EP. One so far is a very pale pink and I'm going to keep it because it sets the darker ones off better.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Nothing wrong with being stuck on pink. They are all pretty, keep them coming, hope winter doesn't come too soon for you!

TiG,
I love the way you have the Blackie growing along the ground underneath the brugs...makes a great contrast.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Great observation Jodie - I had to go back and look at it again - beautiful

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)
