Could you please post a picture of the seed pods? My husband and I are having a debate as to whether we have Mesquite or Jerusalm Thorn trees here.

I have not had seed pods or even blooms yet but the tree is really growing. Can you post a picture of yours? Maybe I can help identify it.

Cajun2, This is not a mesquite tree.The mesquite seeds are shown below as well as a shot of a mesquite tree and of the mesquite leaves (sorry it is blurry).The last photo is of the retama (Jerusalem thorn) bloom. Hope this helps.:o)
