I thought I would go right to the expert's here at Dave's to get an answer to this question. I just recieved some REALLY nice hardwood cuttings from poppysue and I need to find out how to plant and care for them so I can post BEAUTIFUL BRUG pictures next year just like you guy's.
So now that I think I buttered up all of you brug specialist's does anyone have some EXPERT advice for this very friendly beginner???????

HELP FOR A NEWBE...
Arlene and TiG are good, they will be along in a little while.
lol! hardwood you can start in water, change the water every day, when you start getting nubbies plant in soil!!! congrats, you are gonna love them.
Cala, you are the pro! you have rooted more babies i never could and have made for seeds in the last year than i ever will!
Ruby, I do hardwood cuttings directly into the soil. Just don't overwater them. The green wood cuttings, I have started putting in a glass of water until they get the "nubbies" and then pot into soil, being very sure not to overwater them. I'm sure you will do well with your cuttings. I'm not an expert, so obviously anyone can grow beautiful brugs. You will sure enjoy them. Be very sure to watch for spider mites on your new plants this winter. That is a whole other thread............
