double drops down in cooler weather

I rescued this from a brug abuser! Not much water and very little fertilizer. When I saw its flower during the heat wave it was wadded. Now that it is cooler it sure looks like it's going to drop. Also notice the leaf to the right. It (and others) do not open out flat. Thankfully the newer ones are normal.

Poppytree, looking good. Glad you rescued it. There are a lot of different candida flora plenas. Some drop down more than others and different temperatures do make a difference. When are you expecting frost? I don't usually get frost until late October or November. Sometimes not until December. Usually have roses blooming here at Xmas.

Very nice pic! My candida double white mostly refuses to drop down the insides of the blooms.....they just rot:)

Think I am going to find a pretty single white to raise next year.

How's your brug collection coming along Owen? Did you manage to find some nice plants this year?

Brugcrazy
We had a frost on Sept 8th last year. We were worried about the full moon last week and moved some plants onto the patio under cover and put the little ones in the greenhouse but luckily it didn't freeze. Friends around us have had frost but no killing ones. It can happen any day. We usually get one that kills off the tomato and pumpkin leaves then not another one for a month or so. My brugs know its fall. The leaves are turning yellow and dropping off. Still flowering tho.
