plumeria emergency

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I've been so worried about the brugs breaking in the wind with all this water, and then this morning went out and my poor plumeria is broken right in half. what do I do????

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Plant the half that broke off.

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

Plant the broken half and trim the plant portion at an angle /. Both pieces should be fine. I did this last year and am about to see my first blooms in the next day or so!!

do I take the leaves off? left the cut dry?

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

tiG I actually took all the leaves off and let the cut part dry for several days. I don't know what difference that might make tho. It was suggested by the Plumeria Place. You might check their website http://www.io.com/~jrm/plumeria.html

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

The cut should dry for at least a week....according to a friend of mine in Hawaii that has the largest plumeria collection in the world.

thanks, it's drying now. DH was heartbroken! it's amazing how much he's come to love the tropicals, he's always been a gardener, but nothing like we are now.
