Thanks Jen. hope everyone is ok. take care all of u being battered by this typhoon. our prayer goes for u and ur family's safety. from one who knew how nerve wrecking it is going through strong typhoon.
thanks Jen!! I was so worried about all of you. now where is Roz???
Roz is babysitting - I thought the power might be out there, for you 2 Jen. Did your Brug do ok??
Hi all,
I finally made it back from bring my Mom home. Hwy 90 at Casino row was flooded. All the casinos here are closed. The water came in from the Gulf of Mexico across the hwy and left lots of trash in the roads. On my Moms end of town the water got 4 ft plus deep just about 1/4 of a mile from her house...quite a mess. As far as I know no one was lost due to the storm and not a lot of wind damage....most of the damage was from the water. I think on the whole Biloxi came out smelling like a rose...thank goodness.
I don't think I lost much but all my Brugs look like they have been beat with an ugly stick....leaves gone and lord only knows where the flowers went. My flowers beds look just like they went through a hurricane. LOL We will wait till tomorrow to start cleaning up the yard and putting everything back where it belongs. Frannie don't expect to see much when you come here next week...I'm sure I'll still be cutting and cleaning up then too.
Thanks Jen for calling....and Thanks all for being concerned.
So glad to hear from you, thought maybe you had no power - are your kids still there?? Wondering about Roz too. Glad the wind wasn't as bad as expected so Jen's trailer was safe.
Good to hear that you are okay, Jen and Glory. Now we need to hear from the others.
So glad your family and you are ,sorry about the plants taking a beating.Hope everything gets back to normal for you quick.
Glad to hear that you guys are OK. Hope we hear from Roz soon.
Glad to hear you and your family are ok. Is the worst over?
Just got mail from Roz - she's fine too - I asked her to post.
Hi everybody, Sure makes a body feel good to know so many cares! I am fine, Marie is fine, and we have all our utilities again. Like Gloria said, it looks like our plants have been through a hurricane, but they will be okay. Hannah's science project seed pod is still there, too! Lightening hit my phone line to my computer, but all's well now. Anybody hear from Honeybee in Saucier? I am gonna have to walk leaning to one side when I go through my cheap arbor (the one dh told me not to buy, would not last) cause I don't think it will get straight again. Glad now I did not pay much for it!
Gloria . . So glad that things were not worse than they were. I will be glad to help you next week and I am looking forward to seeing you.
great to hear from all....................... thank god everyone is OK!
Good to hear everyone is safe. Cleaning up is just part of living here! We love it, don't we?
I wonder how Mike did in his first encounter?
Roz and Gloria - looks like you got the worst of it.
I'm so glad to hear from all of you that went through this. Is everyone accounted for now? I'm praying so.
