Unknown seedling

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

this one's parantage is anyones guess. Its from seeds I got 2 years ago in trade,no idea from who or what.

It opened 2 days ago white,(I was bummin),then yesterday it was baby lite pink, today its much darker, and its color goes up much further than frostys or Isabella.
I kinda like it,would like longer tendrils though.....
No scent during the day....

CC, that's a pretty one, suaveolens cross of some sort. Looks good and healthy too.

look like Isabella to me ... http://davesgarden.com/t/362306/ , is it very fragrant? if it is ... it is Isabella. be sure to scroll down to see what Arlene posted on that thread.

Its not Isabella, because its a seedling, not a cutting. It may be a Isabella (or frosty,or Golfito )cross. So far not much fragrance,(have not checked it at night)it doesent look like my frosty or Isabella, both are blooming right now so its an easy comparison.Ya know how they have almost a line where the pink and white meet? This doesent have it.

Looks like a keeper to me:) Love those pink brugs.

MVR, I got my Isabella from Snowhermit and there is very little fragrance to it. I tried to cross it to Golfito since there was question as to whether they were the same brug, and they would not cross. So, since Golfito has little smell and they didn't cross, I'm sure that my brug is Isabella/Golfito. So many of the Frosty series look like it that maybe we have them so mixed up now we don't know what we have anymore. I know I have about 5 Frosty's now. After tonight, someone else has some of them. I got rid of 9 full sized plants. They will be back tomorrow night to get the rest of those that I don't want. Anything left after that goes to the compost pile. The Frosty brugs do have good fragrance. Please don't misunderstand me.......I'm not saying that you don't have Isabella. All brugs grow differently in different parts of the country.

Isabella has a nice scent but i have to stick my nose pretty much in it to be able to smell it. pics can be so hard for me to tell, and the flowers change with the heat/day length and all kinds of conditions, at least mine seem to. even flower size varies on some.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I can even tell a difference in my new ones already. You are right Arlene, Isabella has a fragrance, but it isn't the kind that you smell when you walk past the brug. I have three Dr. Suess plants and all three are different. One is tall, two are short, and one of the short ones has smaller blooms. They all smell the same though....GREAT!!!

Shirley... when i didn't know the name of the bloom i had, u and Kyle helped identify. Kyle confirmed it is Isabella. the other mislabeled plant is Insignis Pink. anyway the Isabella i have here, if u pass next to the plant, it is fragrant. if i stick my nose to it, the sweetness of the fragrance is almost intoxicating. i love fragrant plants, but some does a number on me. if the fragrance is too sweet or intense, i develop stomach ache. Isabella does it to me :).

I read somewhere that Isabella has a scalloped edge that goes down and Frosty Pink has a "v" cut into the edge. Really, mine are different like that, I had to check.

Cala... pls see the link i attached above, my 1st respond. i do not know about Frosty Pink, i still have another brug that is unidentified, which i would assume would be frosty pink. label just says it is pink brug.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yes, that is the way mine looks too, I just don't have the fragrance in it. Again, different locals can make a big difference.

MaVie, there is Insignis Pink too.(or is that Isabella?) oh no, here we go again, lol. I have lots of seedlings from CC's and Busybees seeds that are pink, look like FP or Isabella for the most part. I'm just tickled that they aren't white!!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

here is the Insignis Pink i posted the other day --> http://davesgarden.com/t/362303/ scent is very mild almost faint. only way to know there is fragrance is to stick nose close to the flower.

here is the Isabella that bloomed the other day --> http://davesgarden.com/t/362306/ , fragrance of this is intense for me.
