Isabella looks great to me! Wish somebody would send me a cutting:)

Just wondering.....does it bloom constantly or in flushes? Is it very fragrant? Does the bloom stay open during the day or shrivel up like Ecuador Pink?

Thanks everyone :)! for a newbie and growing brug for the 1st time, am so happy to be able to produce lovely blooms such as this. am i allowed to say i am doing happy dance on the ceiling LOL!

Owen, i did post Isabella before... at the time, it was one of those that was mislabeled. Brugie and Eclipse helped me properly identify it. maybe the expert can respond to u more than i can. i am growing this for the first time.

basing from personal observation, it took a while before it bloomed! but boy! once it began, it does bloom constantly. the fragrance is very sweet and overwhelming for me :)! too fragrant if i may add.

the flower does not stay open in the daytime... only at night ... maybe cause it is hot here during the daytime.

it would seem i have inherited Ms. Kell's pepto garden LOL! everything is pink all around me. and i am not in love either... hehehe. sorry can't help that LOL!!!

want to trade? i can send u cuttings soon as the blooms are over. right now it is prolific with buds and blooms. all brug i have growing on the ground are mostly pink. the next one i expect to bloom are Frosty Pink and Ecuador Pink. i'd love to have other colors too ;)! lmk...

Mine that I got from tiG has a few pods but is still a long way from blooms. MaVie that is so pretty. I saw a posting before before that some one had.

ma vie, i gotta tell ya, this flower business is too confusing!!! now, i coulda sworn someone told me that it's brugs that bloom during the day, and dats bloom at night??? and, looking at your picture, the color of the leaves looks like my dats? all my brugs are bright green, my dats are a deeper, purple-tinted green like your picture. maybe isabella is a little like me? can appear to be an angel, with devilish habits showing a darker side??!!! you'll have to save me a cutting of this little lady, of course...hehe!!

Thanks Jim :)!

Meiyu, as the days or years comes along, u will learn.

the datura depends on the specie on the shape of the flower and leaves. same thing with the brugs, different specie have different form in flower and leaves. i have to learn as much as u! just be patient, u will get the hang of it LOL!

soon as the blooms finished i will definitely send u some cuttings of the ones that had been properly identified. i am not one to prolong the confusion on the brug specie.

u've received plants from me before, u know that i do attached labels to them. suggestion... u should begin to tag the plants u have, that way when u trade with others there is no confusion... specially in sending seeds or cuttings. it sure is hard to grow something one is not familiar with.

hehehe...i would have if i knew what they were!

did you see what peter did? i had so many surprises in my garden, too? have you seen the thread? he even put little flags in front of each cutting, so i would know which is what. hey, how can i find out what the flowers on them are supposed to look like?

i will tag them from now on...sorry, i'm such a bad little trader who sends cuttings i have no idea what they are, or forget to tag!!! bad, bad, bad...will correct this problem!! hehe!!

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

it was just a suggestion. no offense meant.

yes i did see what Peter did for u. in that case, u should get sick more often, u never know what suprises he will and can do for u LOL. the end benifit of it all, saves u energy!

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

no offense taken, ma vie...i've come to be amused by my cluelessness. i crack myself up at least 20 times a day...!!! going to bed, dear...gotta save my energy so i can find my keys tomorrow!! of course, i can't remember where i'm supposed to go, but i guess i may not have to deal with that issue if i don't find the keys to at least one vehicle first!!! hahaha...okay, following bread crumbs i dropped this morning leading me back to my bed! nitey-nite!!!
