If any one out there has any to share, please let me know. I am sure I can come up with something to trade or I will pay postage.

anyone have any tips on overwintering lemon grass? I bought a small piece from someone. I know it isn't hardy to my zone, but was wondering if it will go dormant if put somewhere where it won't freeze. Does it need to stay moist over the winter with sunlight?

I have kept my lemon grass going for at least 5 years now. Just save some of it, cut off the tops (looks like a bunch of green onions, which you can separate and put in individual pots if you want) and keep it indoors -it won't look too nice but it is tough, it will survive. When it is warm outdoors, put it in the ground, each plant will become a veritable green fountain. We had 3 or more clumps, and dug up just one, so we will have quite a bit to share if anyone wants to try growing this plant.
