I have some banana trees in pots that were lost in the back of my greenhouse for most of the summer. After checking them out today, I realized they were covered in white fly. There are loads of them and eggs as well. I want to cut off all the foliage completely, making a cut a few feet above the soil. How will the bananas grow back?

I cut back tree of them outdoors at work and they will leaf out at the center of the cut..if they weren't fruiting. You cut them off just below the last leaf and they will regrow from there.Confused??LOL
